So for my first post I thought I would post something light and fun, and a contest to boot.

While in Cape Town, South Africa, Matt Damon and his brother Kyle rode tandem in the Cape Argus Tour (110km).  Damon was in South Africa while filming a movie about Francois Pienaar, famous rugby player, and the real Pienaar was in the race too.

This is what 140km/h wind looks like when a human is added.

This year’s race was the most difficult in the race’s 32 year history given the gale force wind so strong it reportedly was blowing over port o potties with human anchors still in them!  The Damon Brothers finished by the race cut off time but not without a couple hiccups, Damon noting that “we’ve never been on a tandem before”.  They had to get assistance for a broken shifter and the Oscar winning Damon was cycling on a sprained ankle from rugby practice.

“The Damon Cycle”

Now here’s the contest, I have a good idea who makes this bike but whom ever can identify it first gets a limited edition Fresno State Cycling t-shirt.  (Sorry only medium sized shirts available-pygmys and giants need not apply)
