45 miles on Saturday

Brandon and I rode 45 miles Saturday morning from Willow
and Behymer to Hwy 168 and Millerton Road.

I am lactose intolerant, that is why I buy cuties dairy free ice-cream sandwiches. I recently noticed that these are perfect for me not just because they taste great but also because they endorse my most favorite sport.

Race Trim

I stripped the CrossCheck down to bare bones race minimum.

No more CrossTop levers. Ritchey WCS Stem, Bontrager X lite Bar.

No more front shifter.

Single Chainring. 44t 3/32 BMX ring. I have a chainring guard on
its way in the mail. The old 48T ring is there as a place holder.

Well I didn’t puke like everybody said I would. I actuall did quite well for my first race EVER. Thats right my first bike race ever!
Tires were low.

Saturday was the 2008 Solvang Prelude Metric Century (62 miles).
Don myself and my dad left on Friday afternoon for Solvang.
The rest of the group left Friday night late.
