So it turns out that Rubber Soul, Stevens and most of the bike shops in the country cannot get a 2008 Surly Cross Check. They don’t exist on the shelf. The 2009’s come out in a few months. Google begs to differ. Full Cycles in Oregon has Cross Checks in Stock.

I really wanted to buy it at Rubber Soul but Rich told me it was damn near impossible for him to get one for me.  He gave me his blessing to seek redemption somewhere else.

I ordered it last night, no sales tax and free shipping. Tough to beat that.

I’m thinking that the IRO might go too. It is a 56cm but runs a little big.
