Don and I Volunteered at the annual 2008 Valley Girls Ride on Saturday. We had a great time and the girls were all in good spirits. There were a few mishaps (flat tires and one crash) and there were a few ladies who had not ridden a bike that far before. Otherwise it was great. Don and myself were happy to help.

The girls arrived in waves, sometimes 50 at a time:

Trafton Builders sponsored the rest stop with halloween candy and all the usual rest stop stuff, like water, gatorade, bananas and PBNJ sandwiches.

Pink jerseys and bikes were quite a fashion statement.

Don and I rode out to the stop from his house. It was 20 beautiful miles through farmland to get there and another 20 to get back.

This Sunday the 26th will be the Fresno Cycling Club Halloween ride out to lost lake. Costumes are reccommended.
