Rumors are spreading that Lance Armstrong will be coming out of retirement to join Team Astana for the 2009 season for the Amgen Tour of California, Paris-Nice, the Tour de Georgia, the Dauphine-Libere and the Tour de France. Thats quite a schedule.

Velonews says its true and they are not usually in the business of stirring up gossip.  Neal Rogers is quite the jokester but it isn’t anywhere near April 1st and this is seriously exciting news.

Maybe its a publicity stunt to get us drive thru eating, gas buying americans back on heavy and expensive trek bikes. Maybe its an attempt to save the Tour Of Georgia? Maybe Michael Ball has something to do with it?

I just hope lance brings back Chris King headsets and a yellow jersey for us fat Americans.
