I mentioned last week that Steven, my fiance’s cousin is moving to San Luis Obispo this semester and he was in need of some Velo therapy. Last week, I fixed his shifting and fixed his headset. During the first phase of the project Steven expressed his desire for some kind of custom paint job. Flames and Plaid was suggested before argyle was finally decided.

Sarah and Steven went out on a quest for lunch and spraypaint. They came back with Green and Yellow Cal Poly Colors.

We prepped the bike by masking everything but the top tube:

We started off with a yellow background:

Then masked a somewhat diamond pattern:

Sprayed the green:

Then took the classics out for a ride to get some TCBY ice cream for dinner:



We then removed all the masking and I applied some black lines
with the Mac 1 pin-striping brush Sarah bought for me last year:

The final touch was a Cal Poly Mustang in green and yellow fade:

I added a Black bandana to the seat of my Raleigh Sports. I
am looking for a new seat but I have not found one yet.

And Sarah’s new seat worked out great. She said it was comfy and
held her phone and keys securely:
