Yesterday afternoon, I decided to go for a short ride on the Willow loop. On Friant road an older Toyota van drifted into the bike lane in the construction area and hit me from behind at about 40mph. I was able to get the vans insurance info and a police report. I’m fine but my bike and some of my gear is slightly damaged. I will post pics after I talk to their insurance company.

My bike is at Rubber Soul being checked out right now. I will get the police report tomorrow. Then I will contact the insurance company of the idiot in the van and start the shitfest.

You should get a rental bike, his insurance should cover that too! Or at leat record your miles that you put on your car that you wouldn’t have otherwise! 45 cents a mile or something like that …
