Bike supplies in a vending machine? It may become a
reality sooner than you think. This “Bike Station” will
incorporate a 24 hour vending machine with tubes,
patches, water bottles and energy bars. There will also be
a built-in service stand clamp to work on your bike.
These “Trek Stops” will be purchased and maintained by
Trek dealer bike shops.

Do you think this is a good idea?

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI think that is a great idea, low overhead to the owner and what could be a very much needed product to the user.
There is always a possibility for vandalism but It might be worth a try.
I think its a great idea, as for vandalism it will be the same as any other vending machine. Hopefully though it will be protected by the bike gods.
Wow, I like that! The built-in service stand clamp is a great idea, now that I think of it they should start making bike racks to be dual purpose and include a service stand.
This is a great idea if I have a break down right in front of one of these stops … otherwise I am still stuck with my multi-tool and patch kit
The real plus to these things is that the service stand clamp can double as a stripper pole for drunk passerbys.
A compressor with a multi-head would be pretty cool too. All the attorneys need to do is figure out how somebody could injure themselves and that would be all.
Have any of you pledged to keep our air clean next week?

I think it is a great idea! I am a college student and my campus is 3 miles long. Putting these on campus would be a great idea. So many of us bike everywhere! or just want a snack.
