How long have you been a bike commuter?

I have only started back to biking to work for about a month now.

Why did you start riding your bike to work and how long is your commute?

I was riding my motorcycle to the gym one morning when I realized how silly it was to pedal on a stationary bike for an hour when I could ride a real bike and save gas money in the process. I still go to the gym every morning for spin class on Mon, Weds, Fri and just to take a shower on Tues and Thurs.

How does Bike Commuting help you with your weekend club rides?

Helps to shed pounds and hopefully add muscle in all the right places for grinding out those grueling uphills.

What do you do for a living and in what city do you bike commute?

Computer programmer, Fresno.

What kind of bikes do you have?

Santa Cruz Heckler, Jamis Durango, Diamondback Topanga

I realize your blog is mainly for roadies, but I still love to read it and see what you guys are up to. Besides there really isn’t much in the way of mountain bike related websites for Fresno people. Not that are updated anyway. I thought about starting one, but who am I kidding. I would never update it either

I’m always impressed when I pass you guys on Friant or Tollhouse. I’m heading up to a trail with my bike on a rack and you roadies are laying down the rubber hardcore style.
