Well I ended up going on a short ride on Wednesday night with my friend Justin. We put in an easy 20 miles. We rode up Willow toward Friant rd. On the way there it was super windy which means we flew on the way back. It was a fun ride, Justin got to try out his new bike. He is now riding a Specialized Allez road bike. 
He seemed to enjoy riding a bike that doesn’t weigh 30+ pounds like his old trusty “stone-grinder”. Justin, welcome to the joy of 25+ mph. I also got a chance to enjoy a wonderful sunset.

Thanks! I like that bike a lot and I do want to go on some long rides. Have to change the seat and pedals though.
