I am running brown Mr Tuffys already .. they protected me from 8 or 9 of those pokey bastards, but one got through. I went to a shop nearby and picked up some slime on my lunch break. I loaded both tires up with the goo and pumped them up. The one with the flat deflated again.... so it looks like I will be changing that rear tube before heading home anyhow. No biggie ... burn a few extra calories cranking that hand pump. Oh believe me Zakdude, I know! However, when I went for a ride outside of Santa Maria (on part of the Solvang Century ride) drivers gave me tons of room and seemed to not want to hurt me. It was amazing. Much different than Fresno's drivers where I have to watch out for ignorance and/or malice. @ThePaul - I agree and it is always on my mind when I ride anywhere.
