Well today was great for a ride. So my friend Justin and I decided to take a short trip around Fresno. So I dusted off the single speed, filled my water bottle and went for a spin. We headed for Tower Velo bike shop on Van Ness south of Fresno City.

While traveling down Ashlan we passed a group of kids riding in the wrong direction.

On the corner of Ashlan and Cedar we looked to our left and saw the gas prices. Reg $4.27 and Premium $4.49. We were glad to be riding our bikes.

Once on Cedar we were passed by a truck with a trailer that was carrying a shed. I took my camera out as fast as I could and snapped this pick. On one of our previous rides we encountered a small Toyota truck carrying a shed.

Upon arriving at Tower Velo we saw two bike trailers that could make it possible to go shopping without having to drive your car.

The bottom one can hold up to 300 lb. and can be lengthened up to 8 ft. long. These are super cool.

And then Chris (bike shop owner) told us about the electric bike one of his customers was trying to sell. Justin and I took it for a spin. The battery makes the bike very heavy but it moved fairly fast. Here’s Justin taking it for a spin. If anyone is interested he wants 200 bucks for it. I think its kind of cheating but it was cool to ride.

Justin pick up a new chain and then we were off to Skully Bros. skate-shop. We talked to one of Justin’s friends for a while, who told us about the new mural on the side of the shop. Here are two pics but it looks a lot better in person. The skate shop is on Olive.

After a short detour we headed for home, up old Van Ness.
Which is an awesome street to ride your bike.

But Justin ran into some mechanical trouble, so we pulled
over and tried to solve it. And then we were off again.
Picture of Justin and his frustration with his rear derailleur.

A quick pic of my sweet ride.

She rides great!

All in all it was a 16 mile ride. And we both had lots of fun.
