All of a sudden it’s OK to ride your bike instead of drive your car.
Last summer when I rode my bike to work a few times people
would look at me funny and generally disregard my activity.

When visiting my bank yesterday the teller commented how neat
it was that I was bike commuting. She expressed that she should
do the same because she only lives FOUR blocks away and drives
over everyday!

Before gas was over $4.00 I had people ask me if I needed a ride to
work or ask if my car was broken down etc. All of a sudden, biking
to work is socially acceptable. Sarah and I rode bikes to run an errand
yesterday after work. An errand that we had driven to 20 times before.

Feels good. Its not easy but it feels good. People always seem to look for
ways to make things easier. Faster, bigger freeways for example. We
should all be looking for ways to do things better, and more recently
to do things more efficiently with less waste.
