This weekend was a great weekend for riding, even with some wind on Sunday it was still nice.

Saturday we rode with the Fresno Cycling Club which about 85 riders showed up.  It was a great event thanks to all the people who volunteered for SAG duty and rest stop duties, those services are always appreciated and are a great help to us the riders.  The ride was out towards Pine Flat, it some fun little hills and downhills.

There were a lot of bees though, I got one that smacked me in the face and got stuck between my face and my sunglasses.  So pretty much I freaked out :) I swerved and yelled a little like a little girl but luckily it didn’t sting me and I got it out of my sunglasses.

Some of the ride was almost like a dream when we were riding by all the green pastures with white fences it just felt dream like.     Also at one point there was a giant poodle that had got loose that a bunch of people were trying to catch.  It was running right up the bike lane, Zak stopped all the traffic so that the people could chase it across the road and not get hit.  Even our SAG guys joined in the chase to catch that giant poodle….good times.

Then on Sunday we went out and did bubble gum hill…or what we call…snake hill.  That was a good time a little windy but good.  Zak pushed me to go faster on the flats and on the hills, couple more times and he said he may take me out on wildcat.  So we will see how I do over the next couple of weeks, also I encourage everyone to join in on all the biking events this month that Zak listed in a previous post.  We will be attempting to do as many of them as possible so hopefully we see you all out there, and please come say hi we always like to meet more bikers.

Also on Sunday I bought some dark blue bar tape so I will take some before and afters of my Felt to show you what the outcome will be.  I am always up to add a little color to the whole biking experience.

Keep on riding everyone and hope to see you out and about.
