Okay, so there has been a lot of trash talking around Don’s office (mine too) regarding weight and health. So, I feel that I have to compensate. After Don’s constant ragging on me about his grueling ride on Saturday (all in good fun), I feel I need to recount my weekend experience and success.
I haven’t been posting much as work and busyness has kept me off my bike. Last weekend it was time to get back in the saddle and burn some calories. I have gone on several rides with Don and Zak but have never made it to the Millerton store. I always die on an uphill portion on Auberry Rd (it’s actually embarrassing). Well, this weekend I finally made it to the store (one day I will have pictures to prove all this like what Don and Zak do. I am not cool enough yet). We also went a little bit further to Millerton road which has pretty beautiful scenery at the moment (summer will kill it off). We put in 37 miles in the wind both ways. No really, the stupid wind changed and it was in my face both times. I thought I was going to pass out. I was eating energy bars like it had adrenaline in it. However, I made it all the way back thanks to a little drafting from Daniel and a biker I met that weekend named Ben. It was fun. Now that Don is going to be battling in the Naked Feet Project, I am hoping to get in on those rides and shed some body fat as well.

Michael, you can come with us whenever you want.
Oh I know. This wasn’t even written out of frustration, just good, friendly fun. Don and I have been kidding around about biking, exercise, the whole deal. Especially since I am usually the guy who “can’t go riding today” again and again. This was my sad attempt at a funny post with a little friendly competition. Did I completely miss the mark?
