The Slipstream/Chipotle cycling team have a pretty awesome website with some daily updates on their progress while racing over in Europe. If you’re a daily blog/update reader like me you should check it out. Our only American pro-tour team, Slipstream has adopted a very strict anti-doping campaign to promote clean sports and they have some rockin bike dudes from all over on their team. I met and talked to a few of the guys at the Tour of California. They were all very cool.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI was riding up Lookout Mountain outside of Golden, Colo., after work one time last spring — a pretty big ride for me from downtown Denver — in my cut off Carhartts, messenger bag, BMX helmet, etc., and a couple guys from Slipstream passed me a few minutes apart. They were both super nice, asking me how I was doing, chit-chatting a little. I thought that was pretty great. Then they totally blew by me. I think they were just warming up for their real ride. Anyway, I’m a fan.
Hey Brenden,
How are you doing? I remember you took some time off to recover from some kind of injury?
Anyway, I met the slipstream guys in Modesto at the Tour of CA. Danny Pate put his bike on the curb to use the bathroom and some guy said “hey what if it gets stolen?” Pate Said “Then I can go home.”
He signed my Colorado Jersey along with Farrar and Vaughters, I missed Millar by a few seconds. They seemed like a nice bunch of dudes.
