As you may have already read, this Sunday Don, Zak, Daniel, and myself (here’s an unfortunate picture of us) went out on another ride. Don and I didn’t go as far as the Zak and Daniel but still got some exercise. During our ride, I was once again reminded how impressed I am of the bike culture here in Fresno. The few times we stopped, we were asked by passing cyclists if we were okay. I find this to be pretty awesome and if one day we do need help, I am fairly confident someone would come to our aid. As a matter of fact, every time we have gone on a ride, someone has asked if we were okay when we stopped (such as the ride when we had four flats…). Pretty cool.

Anyway I always ask people who are stopped if they need anything and I somebody is obviously looking at their bike like it just disappointed them greatly I stop to help. I’ve fixed some crazy stuff on stranger’s bikes on the side of the road before. You never know who it might be!
I’m planning on it, just haven’t done it yet.
I’d be interested in reading about the crazy stuff you’ve fixed on the side of the road…
