On the ride to work today I came to the realization that riding my bike has become something that is more to me than just something I do for fun. It has become a way of life; I use my bike as transportation, exercise, fun, and a way to challenge myself. Cycling has brought me to a new place in life not only has it made me healthier it has made me happier. It has helped me mold a new me, when I graduated college my big question was what I want to do with my life. The answer is still not a clear one, but I am sure that biking will be a part of that answer.

A good example of how much time I spend with my bike is how long my gas tank on my truck lasted. I drive a big V8 truck, but one tank of gas lasted me 23 days(this guy must never get out right). When I bought this truck I made a deal with myself that I would ride more, which in my mind meant more exercise rides. I did not know I would be commuting to work and using it to get around for work. I use to go through a tank of gas a week when I drove a 4.6 liter V8 mustang I now drive my big 5.4 liter V8 Truck and I fill up once a month. I know the mustang had a 14 gallon tank and the truck has a 25 gallon tank, but still the difference is huge.

I am saying all this to say that a bike lifestyle is a good lifestyle and a great choice for anyone. So all of you out there who say oh it is to hard to ride everyday or I live to far from work to ride. I give you one of our local commuters Frank aka Murpho who rides about 11miles each way I believe so that is 22 miles a day five days a week for work. Give him a round of applause. So if he can ride 22 miles a day then so can you.

So get out there and ride, ride for more of what makes you happy. (okay so I am done ranting thanks for listening)
