So somewhere in the Netherlands bike racks are being installed with built in bike pumps. How cool is that? They wouldn’t last a week here but still a pretty neat idea.

My view on bike racks is that if you are a retail establishment and you do not provide a bike rack then it is my civic duty to bring my bike in the store with me or park it near the door (Inside) where many people can see it to protect it from theft. The situation I have had around here is that the only place to lock my bike is to the pole that holds the handicap parking sign or to doohickey or whatzit bracket near the automatic door.
I choose not to block the door opening or path of any other citizen as best as I can.
I have only had one Longs employee tell me that I have to park my bike outside. I replied “Well I guess I will go buy my goods somewhere else, You do not provide a bike rack”
Bike rider discrimination is no joke folks
That might be a new bike thing to obsess about, observing the lack of bike racks provided by retail and service establishments for us bike people.

I agree more bike racks would rock, I also think a great bike rack would work like a bus locker. You put the bike in and it locks and gives you the key. Anyway bike on.
I want one
