My commute took 25 minutes this morning leisurely and fun. It was not as cold as it was on Monday morning but the streets were wet which is always fun on a fixed gear.
So today I decided to do it up right.
There are a lot of shoe covers on the market. So many that when I decided I wanted to buy myself a set I was so overwhelmed that I gave up. After receiving two sets for Christmas I am in the unique position to review two of them. One set is a road specific Specialized Shoe Cover that fits my carbon road shoes and over the Look Keo Cleats very well while looking super slippery fast. These were given to me by my fiancee who knows how much I love brand name bike geek gear. The Sugoi set was given to me by my dad who virtually lives at REI. The REI covers work out great for my mountain bike commuter shoes because they do not cover the walking treads on the bottom.
Oh and I left 10 minutes later than I did Monday morning so it was only dark for the first 10 minutes of my 25 minute commute. I charged and hooked up my super headlight which was awesome as usual.
